The school day runs from 8:45am to 3:15pm, Monday to Friday.
Total teaching time per week: 32.5 hours
School gates open at 8:35am
Children should arrive at school between 8:35am and 8:45am. This gives them time to settle into their classroom, greet their friends and prepare for the day ahead.
All pupils must be in school by 8:45am when registration begins.
Gates close at 8:45am
If your child arrives after 8:45am, they should enter through the main entrance and report to the school office. Parents or carers accompanying their child should provide a reason for lateness, which will be recorded in our attendance register.
Please note:
Punctuality is important as it ensures your child doesn't miss vital learning time and helps them settle into the school day calmly.
Registration (8:45am) and early morning work
All pupils attend registration in their classroom. This is an important time for teachers to welcome children, take the register and prepare the class for learning.
Collective Worship (9:10am - 9:30am)
We gather together as a school community for our daily act of Collective Worship. This is a special time when we reflect on our Christian values, celebrate achievements and come together in prayer and song.
The morning lessons focus on maths and English.
10:45am - 11:00am: Morning Break
Children enjoy 15 minutes of fresh air and play.
Healthy snacks:
Please note: We operate a 'no nuts' policy across the school to protect children with allergies.
11:00am - 12:00pm: English (Key Stage 1)
11:00am - 12:10pm: English (Key Stage 2)
Children develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through engaging English lessons.
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch for Reception and Key Stage 1
12:10pm - 1:00pm: Lunch for Key Stage 2
Children can choose to have a school dinner or bring a packed lunch from home. Lunchtime is supervised by our dedicated team of Midday Supervisors who ensure children are safe, happy and well-fed.
After eating, children have time to play and socialise with their friends in our playground and school field.
1:00pm - 3:15pm
Our afternoon sessions include:
Our broad and balanced curriculum ensures children experience a rich variety of learning throughout the week.
